Re: St Cross Stitcher's Ward
My DVT is actually 2 one in thigh one in calf (why can't I be nice and simple?). On tablets only now and don't have to give myself those nasty injections anymore. I've got a sick note for this week so lots of stitching time!
Re: St Cross Stitcher's Ward
Hi, all, I thought I would be OK and went to school this morning. But soon I realized it was a mistake. I am shivering, can't talk, and weakallover, so I had to come back home.
I will see the doc in the afternoon.
Until then, can I have my bed back, please? And a cup of hot tea, perhaps? Thank you so much.

I knew you'd be back, but I've changed the sheets. Fresh beds are... refreshing. In you get!

Just don't wear those boots!

Re: St Cross Stitcher's Ward
Mys been banned from wearing the boots...and my pole dancing shoes...to salsa class. "If you wear flat shoes you dance like a man. Wear heels" Followed the next day by "Good lord woman! How high are those heels? How do you expect us to reach over your head with those on?"
*giggles in amusement.

Re: St Cross Stitcher's Ward
Sounds like a shoe-themed rendition of the Three Bears. Perhaps this time you'll find a pair that is Juuuuuust Right.
Re: St Cross Stitcher's Ward
You see, I don't know what's wrong with my pole dancing shoes. They have a nice heel so I'm dancing on the balls of my feet. They have a sloped sole so I can spin beautifully...So what if the stilhetto heel is about 6"

I tend to wear normal heels now with only a 2" heel.

Re: St Cross Stitcher's Ward
Those are some shoes, girl.
Glad to see they also have a platform to compliment the height of the heels... The guys only complain because all of a sudden you are taller than they are, of course.
6-inch heels would just about make me a normal height... not good in the garden, though, amongst the peas and beans. *sigh*

Re: St Cross Stitcher's Ward
hehe, well the tallest guy in my class is 6". I'm 5'10 without shoes.
The shortest guy in our class is about 5'5" And for pretty much most of what we've been doing, his hand needs to be above my head
Aren't they beautiful though! And ever so comfy now I learnt to walk in them. It's surprising really, especially since I fell down in them once (NEVER walk downhill in these beauties) and I managed to do some major damage to my toe nail. Turned all black with bruising and bent it. Still hasn't grown out. But now they're amongst my comfiest shoes.
How tall is aunty Serinde?

Re: St Cross Stitcher's Ward
Auntie Serinde is not tall at all.
Auntie Serinde is small but perfectly formed, if a bit round now in her decrepitude. When I was young, I was all of 5ft 3/4inches. That fraction meant a lot to me. Why were all my beaux 6ft and over, we wonders? (tee hee)

Re: St Cross Stitcher's Ward
Angels maths teacher at school said angel needed to do more maths in her everyday life. Rounding up is maths. And so I will forever round that up to 5'4"
Angel thinks round Aunties are the best. Who wants a bone sticking in your ear as you go to hug them? Noooo a little bit of round is absolutely perfect!

Re: St Cross Stitcher's Ward
Oooh I adore Gregs sausage rolls, and the gregs is just across the road from the blood bank too
The reason most people faint is because giving blood depletes your iron, so anything you can find to bump that up is good. I always find meat is particulary good. Then just take it easy, if you get too hot tell them right away and they'll put a fan on you, this is another reason for fainting, people over heat. And sit up slowly. Don't rise until your ready and don't walk until your ready.
But most importantly, relax, the nurses have excellent reflexes and I've never been injured there. Heh, they've managed to catch me and my drink at the same time
Then get like an orange juice after. Don't get a hot drink afterwards.

Re: St Cross Stitcher's Ward
Oh, I had to scroll all the way down for this thread - which is good: it means I am the only person not well here.
I have mostly recovered from my bug, have been working this week, but I have been having a terrible headache all the time. I have bought an infrared lamp to warm my face, and I also take all available medicine and drink all possible teas and eat honey and whatever - I am still not well.
Well, only one more day...
Luckily I have no student this afternoon (although I WILL miss the money) and now I am off to bed.
However, on a more positive note: choir practice was much better yesterday, actually it is getting better and better each time. Only good thing in my life atm.
I have just slapped my own mouth for saying such a thing. I have to get a gripp, really. How can I be this negative???? I have a lot of good things in my life. I am off to start a new thread about it - before going to bed.

Auntie Serinde trusts kerbear's house is not made of straw. *check check* That's fine, sneezing will not affect the property value.
You come and make yourself comfortable in the anti-antigen room, where all ticklies will be removed from nose, bronchial tubes and so forth. Ahhh, nice and comfy.
