Daylight bulb query

Post by helbel »

My work lamp bulb went last night, and I desperately need a replacement.

Should I get one of these blue 'craft' light bulbs:

or should I get the energy saving ones like this:

http://www.lightbulbs-direct.com/produc ... 15w-ese27/" target="_blank

Has anyone used either?

(I did buy a blue one in B&Q, but forgot my lamp is screw cap so now it's useless to me!)

I've used both - my current one is the energy-saving spiral one and it's better for me because it's in a bendy clip-on lamp. The blue bulb I had in a normal desk lamp so couldn't get it at such a good angle - still better than a regular bulb though.

A quick answer to that is.. the blue ones give a good light but are hot to work under
I use the energy saving bulbs and they are GREAT!! Excellent light. Wouldn't go back to a blue one now!!

I use these...

You can pick the type of fitting - work fine for me and very reasonably priced!

wow! That's a resounding vote for energy saving.

I shall try them then. Most of my lights at home are energy saving already but I wanted to be sure before ordering something new.

Now if I order from sew and so I could probably get some stash at the same time and save on postage..

Of course! Postage is such a waste of money, you must make the most of it... :-)

Put in stash, total came to 90 quid, removed stash. Replaced with cheaper stash.

Total now under 40... that's reasonable isn't it?
