But it is for very good reason!

As some of you know Steve and I reserved a plot on a new development back in March. Well they finally started building our little house back in July and two weeks ago we went in for the very first time! We discovered that the tiles in the bathroom were incorrect but not too bad. We chose plan white tiles with a coloured centre. We chose a blue centre for the bathroom and for our downstairs cloakroom we chose black. So we have plain white in the cloakroom and black centres in the bathroom. Thankfully this is the only thing wrong in the entire house they have put up the right colour doors and the kitchen is spot on what we chose! We have requested a larger patio in compensation and are negotiating the final size!

Well yesterday the sales lady called me to say the site manager is happy for us to have extra patio and as above we are discussing just how much. While on the telephone she told me they are hoping to have the house NHBC certified next Wednesday and that is when we will get notice of completion. As we are supposed to have 14 days notice that means we will complete on 30th September. In that case we won't be moving until 10 October as we have to get carpet laid before we can do anything.

As a result I will be very busy packing boxes between now and then so that we will be ready to put everything in a van and move on 10th (hoping carpet is down) so I won't be stitching much or popping in here very often. Once we are in we will also have to wait for BT to get our telephone live and then we have to tell tiscali we are moving and our new number so will have to wait for them to sort themselves out too.

I will miss you all and I apologise in advance when I am back properly I will be a while catching up. I wish you all well while I am gone and will hopefully see you all sometime between ow and November!
