Some lovely variegated Anchor threads from Mayne with a little butterfly on a card with one of my favourite verses on it, and a beautiful stitched card with my name -- thank you so much Mayne  , they are really lovely and it's far too much!

A parcel from Sew and So:

The ornaments won't be for this year, but I'm hoping next year I'll have my own house and my own Christmas tree and will be able to use them.

The little houses look *very* hard. The instructions are not for the easily scared! Hopefully when I get there and read through them it'll be fine.

Thanks to the people on my other thread for recommending the daylight bulb, it's here and it works wonderfully. Now to start tonights stitching!

yup

I got snowmen ornaments kit and gingerbread house mini ornament kit.

ah, i love xmas decoration kits. I have about 5 xmas decoration kits that are fairly detailed, some of the dimensions gold range and make a few from each. They last forever, so no need to do the whole kit for the year. I'll probably do a couple from each kit this year as well as my usual quick ones for presents.
Current WIP's

* forever friends - "garden swing"
* Dimensions Gold "Four Seasons kittens"
* Dimensions Matted Accents "Kitten and Butterfly"

Look what I got today. I have to share this, I'm so pleased with it ...

This is how it was packaged ...

Image

This is what was inside ...

Image

And now you're thinking, oh well done, she got a skein of cream silk. Big deal! But check out the size of it ...

Image

*adopts M&S Food Ad voiceover* This is not just a 5m skein of silk, this is a 45m hank of silk

I'm over the moon with it. Au Ver A soie is my favouritest stitching thread in the world and I can't afford to stitch in it all the time, but for special projects I treat myself. I use a lot of cream to make monogram cards, and this - at £18 - is such a good deal compared to £3.18 for 5m skeins (which would cost £28.62 for the same length, I've just calculated). So, big :D for me today.

And this eBay bargain came too,
Image

Bumper crop for me today!

PS I feel the need to mention the silk came from http://www.thread-bear.co.uk" target="_blank, a very nice lady called Kate assisted me. I can't recommend their service more highly :D .

The good news is I'm near there on Friday then off work all next week so have plenty of time to play with whatever it is I've got :) Just hope it isn't a bill ;) I suspect it might be some coasters I ordered recently from Framecraft, really hope it is :)

I received an envelope from Scotland, here in Canada, and I am more than delighted. Thanks Kell for the charts. They are just absolutely gorgeous and I want to start on some of the small motifs right away. Might I say I was delighted with the swiftness of the service. It sure didn't dally.
