This is wonderful Kell! I love the font you are using and it looks so effective in green, especially as it looks like you have some lovely pinks in the flowers to go with it.
It's a great design!

Happy Birthday to the littl'un!

And I love seeing people's designs on paper, then seeing how they develop!

And here's today's progress photo:

Image

As you can see, I've now completed the cross and backstitching onthe lettering, the two leaves and the rose on either side of the lettering (with the leaves around them). I now just have the main rose at bottom centre and the smaller roses diagonally upwards and outwards from there to stitch and the design will be complete! After that it's figuring out how to assemble the things - LOL!

i love seeing the "development" stage on paper as i have never been that brave. i can't wait to see how this comes together and then hung on the door. you must be sure to take lots of pictures and do a tutorial!

So, I managed to get a little bit of stitchy time last night and have done all the cross stitch on the large rose and leaves at the bottom centre and am currently doing the backstitch on them. After that there's just the four smaller roses to stitch and I'll be ready for working out the assembly of the first swag!

Didn't get any stitchy time tonight as I started winding all the floses my Mam brought me onto bobbins instead. Wound about 20-odd of them and there are loads more yet! I'll stitch a bit more tomorrow though... ;)

Lovely roses!

Bobbin-winding can be very relaxing, but I think you need to alternate it with stitchy time too!

I'll be bobbin winding tonight as I have a couple of programmes I really want to watch and if I'm stitching I'll either end up frogging stitches or missing the progs. After that, this project will be put aside during UFO week but picked up again straight away afterwards!
