He Walks Alone

Post by Lisa2758 »

I started this 26/9. I know I've got a few WIPs on the go but I couldn't resist it and I wanted to see what it was like working on black Aida  . It's been good because I've been so careful stitching it, the work is really neat.

I've just finished Frederick the Literate which is also on black fabric. It has taken me a long time to do as I found it quite hard to see the holes and I kept getting lost when I got to the sections of black thread!

I found that having something white/light like a tea towel or a piece of paper on my lap under the stitching helped immensely.

Good Luck.

Wow, it looks great. I think your right, he seems to stand out nicely against the black cloth!

Stunning! I agree that the black fabric does good work of showing off his color. Makes him stand out wonderfully :applesauce:

Not what I had expected when reading the title but it is going to be gorgeous!!!! I love animals on black they just seem to pop so well on the dark colors.
