Do keep going with the backstitch, it's looking so good already and the backstitch will really make it come to life. Would some :cake: help it along?

keep going with the back stitch! im sure it wil be worth it...
my trick with back stitch is i backstitch a length of thread get up and do something else then go back and do another length....slow and steady!

Wow this looks fab - I don't mind backstitching too much (ok sometimes it drives me mad :D ) as it brings the pictures alive so much.

Oh it looks fantastic, I didn't realise there were going to be real charms on there, but it makes sense for the dragon to guard them :D

I think it is really fabulous and you have been so quick with it too. The charms really make it. Good on you for doing the cording too, it sets off those parts nicely.

Thanks everyone! I'm not completely done with it.. since my husband's aunt is an author I was thinking of making little books, shrinking down her book covers to match so that it looks like her books are part of the dragon's treasure :wink:
