Why not?

(There was a story going around when I was at University, that the final year Philosophy exam consisted of one question: "Why?" Most students scribbled furiously for 3 hours, but one student simply wrote "Why not?" and passed. Fact or fiction? Good story anyway.)

What makes your best friend special to you?

Yes, since I have been living alone, I often get up an hour or so earlier and do some housework or preparation - I am much faster than in the evening.

If you could live in the Middle Ages, who whould you like to be?

Queen! Why not aim for the top.

In what order do you go through this site? I usually start with Tips, then onto Wanted, Welcome, and finish in the General section (always the most activity there)

I usually just hit the view active topics link and work from the bottom up for the areas that have had new posts since I last checked.

If you're not stitching, would you rather curl up with a good book or a good movie?

Start with Other Crafts and swaps if there are any, then Welcome, Tips and Wanted, then General and SAL, moving from one to the other as new ones are added.

Are you a member of any other forums, and if so which? (I belong to the Flanders & Swann forum through which I met DH)

That's a toughie -- I eat brown for health reasons, but if I'm having Nutella it HAS to be white bread :-)!

cows!! cannot stand them, we took MILs dog for a walk and Paul took me through a field of cows, was sooo scared he found it hilarious!!

why when you have turned all the ovens off at work, took all the trays off and cleaned them and put them back onto the counter for the next days trade you still get at least 5 customers asking "have you got any chickens?"

My garlic roller -- it's stainless steel, crushes garlic beautifully, then you wash it under the tap, rubbing your hands on it, and it leaves your hands without garlic smells!

Where would you like to go for a romantic meal?

Hubby and I don't really do the whole romantic meal thing. So I can't really pick any place. We just enjoy each other where ever we are. :D
