I have several beautiful linen tea towels from Australia that I would like to display. The only way I can think of is a wall display, but framing would be too expensive. I have about 5 and they are about 20 inches across.
I wonder if anyone knows of a type of hanger that would clasp the towel to hold it? And, any other ideas would be great. I don't want them to be lining things. I would love for one or two to be under glass but that's just not happening here.
Thanks you all.
btw, I got my first HAED, Equus Caballus. whoa. I should have gotten the larger print. It will be a good while till i get started on this. I will post a pic of my current SAL in a sec. Next, I am doing Cinderella from Mystic Stitch.

How about bell pull rods? You'd "lose" some of the fabric because you'd have to attach them, but it would be very effective as a wall hanging

Re: Linen tea towel display rod
Or how about a bit of dowelling (wooden rod) or cane, poked through a suitably hemmed top of the tea towel and hang with a cord tied to both ends of rod/cane ?
If you don't want to lose any of the top of the towel you could make stitch a piece of material/tape to it, or (I'm on a roll here...) add several loops of tape at the top, roman style.

Re: Linen tea towel display rod
I would make a sleeve on the back from plain material so as not to take away from the towel and then hang it with a dowel. That's how I finish all my quilting wall hangings and small quilts should someone desire to hang them. You can cord the ends or hang the rod on both ends. I have used curtain rods complete with the holders they come with as well in place of the dowel.
Perhaps you could "google" quilt hangers and get decorative ones or even ideas. 2O" is not out of line for nice purchased ones though that adds another expense.
