Re: Question Game

A friend of ours sang the Footprints poem for us. He was standing next to the organ high up in the church so we couldn't see him, and suddenly this rich voice came out of nowhere singing those wonderful words.

That, and my mother, who raised me on her own, giving me away.

Make sure all your stitches run in the same direction. Well, ok, it may not be the wisest lesson I have ever been taught.. but it is wise.

Any plans for this weekend?

Yes! Rest, rest, walk a bit, rest, and rest. And rest, of course, means stitch.

Have you tried to write poems?

:cold: - I love the face on this, though I haven't had reason to use it except now.

If your OH said that you were going to get one of the 12 days of Christmas for your present, which one would you want?

I'll be very obvious and go for the five gold rings -- which I'd then flog and get lots of stash with the proceeds :-)!

Which Silkweaver and/or Polstitches fabric?

Almost anything in shades of purple and if it had a delicate sheen/sparkle to it, so much the better!

If you had the choice, which would you prefer, house or bungalow?

What have you kept for years that you should really throw away?

It's frayed around the cuff but It's SO Useful!! Slightly thicker that average and it's about 15 yrs old! I've got a red/white one too, slightly thinner and also well loved! I just cannot bear to throw them away! I swear not to wash and iron them or but somehow...
Sad ain't I???

Depends on the season and my mood, but my Mum's beetroot stamppot (Dutch dish of veg mashed with potatoes) with bellypork is a firm winter favourite!

By the way, I've still got two skirts and two jumpers from when I was 14...

Are you allergic to anything?

The Carol Burnett Show. I know it is an old one but it was so damn good and all of the ones that are on now are just so stupid.

32 or 36ct, but because 28ct is so much easier to get in pretty colours I usually end up with that -- and I enjoy that too :-).

Algerian eye - so simple, but at the same time so effective!

Do you read books / watch films again and again or only once and then give them away?

I like cats but I am allergic to them and so therefore my answer is dogs. Mine is a big hairy brute called Basil - a great big softie really but he does sound vicious.

I usually decide what I'm making about the time I have to start cooking. However, I have a butternut squash soup/stew type thing to be used up, that I'll have tonight and I might make a lasagne for everyone else, depending how much time I have to cook (busy day today, so it might need to be a quick pasta dish instead).

Eat breakfast or skip breakfast?
