U.S. Magazine Recommendations?

Post by jphill11 »

I like the UK cross stitch magazines, but they're so expensive here in the U.S., I was wondering which of the U.S. ones are good? I've glanced at Just Cross Stitch and am not that impressed (though I love the house on the cover of the current issue.) I'm not sure what other US mags I've looked at, but they just seem kind of... stuffy, or something, compared to the British ones, which are more youthful and modern and, well, FUN. I was looking at The Cross Stitcher online and it looks good, from what little I can see of it online. And I've heard that some people love Cross Stitch and Needlework.

So my question I guess is, does anybody who likes the UK mags think any US ones are similar?

I bought Cross-stitch & Needlework last month. It was ok, I can't complain about it since it's the only magazine I've bought...I'm neutral about it I guess lol..

Hi,

I am not able to give you any magazine recommendations for the US as I live in Australia but I have found a web site called The Stitchers' Villiage. If you go into their library they have a section on magazines from around the world and some of the names have links to the magazines themselves so you can have a look at them. Hope this helps.
