:D I got 2 patterns that I won on ebay.
I am still waiting for 3 kits that I also won

But I got an underpaid card from the royal mail that could be one of them

Just been to the PO it was a job application form that i had sent for It had no stamp on so I had to pay £1.47 (they obviously do need more staff)

I got my fabric from the craft company that Mabel enabled us with.

OK, so I took a brief break from my stash buying moratorium to buy a few charts that I've been eyeing for months. In fairness to me:
1. They were on sale
2. I have not purchased any new stash for almost 3 years
3. I decided it was my present to myself for finishing my degree, as I had convocation 2 weeks ago.

They arrived today.

Looking at them just now, it appears I have a thing for trees and water at the moment...

Fall and Winter Collide is particularly stunning!
How long until we can expect to see some of these in the SAL thread?

Sadly it will be a couple of months, I think. I need to finish the table cloth for Christmas, and Fall Lake for my brother's wedding present...but I am determined that starting in January, I need to stitch something for myself! Hopefully I'll start something in rotation with Fall Lake once Christmas is done...must decide which one...hmmm....

Play Outside - I love them all. I've had my eye on the seasonal ones for awhile - but I have too much already. Sad to hear we will have to wait.....I am really looking forward to watching your progress on these. Also - you have definitely made a valid case for your purchases.   Congrats on finishing your degree.

A small package from Sew and So.

The white Anchor to finish off Parkland Waters, plus DMC for my HAED storykeep that I think I will tackle in the new year as it looks quite simple.

Image

Plus bobbin labels and a bobbin winder. I'm going to have a go with it this weekend and organise my boxes.

An action shot (almost):

Happy winding!

:thinks: :thinks: *wonders whether stitchers are the only people who unwind while winding...*

Ummm....I think by overbuying stash for the three years before that...  I had lots of things accumulated to make as gifts for specific people, and the table cloth and small kit are the last of those. That means that now I get to work on stuff for me! I did buy threads to do patterns already in my stash, and one pattern for my brother's wedding present, but that's it! Given that the patterns I just got will take at least a couple of years to do, I think I'm back to not buying stash... I do really like them, though.

Helbel, I love the bright colors!

I got my order from silkweavers - love the feel of the Jazlyn - not sure about the Lugana. Not my typical color choices - but I could not beat the price to get a feel for the fabric (have not worked with either before). Fear not....I WILL find something to do with them. Well - since they are pressies for my stocking at Christmas, I have to put them away - I only got to feel them as DH needs to know what fabric I want for other gifts to go with a series of patterns I already have.

Jen Eric, I love Jazlyn too -- if you do find that you prefer the Jazlyn to the Lugana, have a look at Jobelan as well: feels like Jazlyn, but is cheaper and comes in more colours!

Thanks Mabel - I will try that as well. I've been stitching for a long time - and it was not until the past 2 - 3 years that I even noticed there were fabrics other than Aida and Linen to work with (and colors to boot). I'd like to give all of the fabbies a try...a good excuse to buy more stash and do more stitching.
