:kitty: Embroidery or knitting......definitely something to do with my hands using a needle. If it was something completely different, then ballroom dancing.

Do you have a party piece? Mine is being able to say the longest place name in Wales......you know Llanfair p.g. for short.

No party piece for me, unless you count having various pieces of cross stitch lying around and people commenting on them

What's the oddest after dinner entertainment you've ever found yourself doing - my other half is a master of odd entertainment so we've found ourselves reciting the preface to the King James Bible and trying to guess words in the Cumbrian dialect following recent dinners.

Oh! Oh! I can say this, it's kind of my party piece too :P My grandad was Welsh so I made my mum teach me how to say it! I have a bookmark with it on as well.

I can't think of any really odd after dinner entertainment I've come across :thinks: Must be going to the wrong kind of dinners!

Do you prefer sweet things or savoury things? I am definitely a 'savoury' person, love pastry, potato dishes, pasta etc...

A little cloudy, a little chilly. There was a light dusting of snow this morning, they say by Monday we should get dumped on- so I'd better find my shovel and car tools over the weekend. It is December after all, its about time we get some snow.

Do you have a signature dish that people ask you to bring for potlucks or do you try something new every time? I do have things people ask for but I also try and bring new things. Who wants the same stuff on the table each year- I've got to mix things up and wow with something new.

I have a baked bean dish that is to die for and since you have to make a large pot for it to turn out properly I usually always take that. It is a real hit everytime.

I have a man to do that for me. Actually several young men, as Barry, who runs a local firm of cleaners, comes once a month and does the outside windows for nearly everyone in the village. Although sometimes I do them in between times, especially in winter, because they get filthy from all the rain and crud.

Outside Christmas light decorations or not?

When we lived in military housing we used to really go all out! The entire neighborhood did since you get free electric lol. When we bought our house our December bill was $700  and that was without lights outside... Fortunately we figured out a lot of energy eating devices from the previous owners and learned to curb our own electric eating practices... since our bills have gone drastically I'm thinking of putting some outside

Lately, I've been wanting to use a lot more people [Edit: PURPLE. Not people...not sure what happened there.]...but I don't have too many patterns that call for it and I'm not sure what shade it is at the moment (and am too lazy to get up and look.)

Who's your favorite female singer?

Oh dear, this changes a lot depending on what I'm listening to. I think probably though Frank Sinatra - our first dance at our wedding was Strangers in the Night and I absolutely love Something Stupid as well.

Now a toughie - what's your favourite HAED design?

Not so difficult. I haven't got any. Please, please, don't stone me :) I have been on their website several times, thinking it must be my fault that there isn't any I really like, I must find one - but nothing yet. It's interesting, when I see you all stitching them they look amazing, fabulous - but I wouldn't want to do them. No way. :) Sorry

What is your favourite building or man-built structure that you have seen?

What is your favourite I-need-something-sweet-NOW biscuit/cookie recipe?

(I'm just baking my own, which is why the question came to mind :-))

I've been craving sugar cookies for the past few weeks..my best friend and I are making plans to make some during her Christmas break from school this month (one week left.) My favorite cookie is Snickerdoodle, though, cause I love all the cinnamon in it.

...And since that got me to thinking about all the baking my friend and I do, I started thinking of all our baking mishaps. What's the biggest error you've made while baking/cooking?

Baked a ham with the (very invisible!) wrapper still round it...

I managed to get it off when it was time to rub the fat with mustard and honey and cloves, and it was perfectly edible when done, but it was a tense moment! (And DH won't let me forget it...)

Around the house, do you wear:
shoes
socks
slippers
nothing (on the feet, I mean...)

I have a pair of pink heels that I absolutely love--but I haven't had a chance to wear them anywhere yet..

What's the last musical CD/album you purchased (or received as a gift)?

What do you prefer pop music or classic rock.

I prefer classic rock. AC/DC, Kiss, Aerosmith that kind of stuff.

I'm not really very good at what falls into which genre. I suspect what I like is more rock than pop, but I just get what I like and ignore what genre it's supposed to fall within. Some of my favourites are James, Manic Street Preachers and the Kinks.

What's your favourite toy? (mine's lego, I still love playing with it  )
