It wasn't the postman, but my supervisor that brought me something last week. In exchange for me making two leather pillows for his car he agreed to make some scroll rods for me for my xstitch. I got 7 sets. Lengths in inches are: 48, 36, 30, 28, 24, 22, and 20. I didn't ask for the 48" ones but he miscalculated the lengths for the dowels and had extra and since I paid for the supplies . . . The whole thing only cost me $40 for all the supplies. I was going to attach my two big projects I'm working on right now to them this past weekend, but with our Thanksgiving holiday and the family that came to visit I didn't get anything done.

I love using the scroll frame when working on a project because I can have both hands free. The longer ones will be too long to sit on the arm rests of my favorite recliner so I might have to keep working on those at a desk or table.
current project rotation:
Twilight Balloon Flight
The Accolade
Faces of Faery 89
Dad's Flower Pot

3 weeks?! That makes me cross. Three days is taking the p**s quite frankly. They can do these things in 3 hours if they want to ...

This is the most wonderful site and filled to bursting with thoughtful amazing members. Tonight in my mail box were two packages the first one I opened was packed full of snowmen patterns. It is a set of Alphabets with snowmen beside them. Now I have two full sets of Snowmen letters.

The second package was a very sweet and thoughtful letter that came along with a snowman coaster. He is adorable and so very welcome. I have 5 mugs with snowmen on them but not a singel coaster. Now I have a wonderful one that will be used often.

If it was the snowman alpabet that I sent, Rose, I'm surprised that it arrived so quickly. I thought you might have it already but couldn't resist sending it to you anyway. If it wasn't from me, then you have another one coming soon.....

Not the postman exactly, but a courier. Does that count?

My beloved but badly behaved laptop arrived back home after almost a month away again. All fixed up and now the mouse even works again. It had a new motherboard and Wifi card but they must have decided to sort the mouse out for me as well while they were at it. :applesauce:

Yesterday I received the Joan Elliott Christmas designs pull-out section from the World of Cross Stitching, thanks to a very thoughtful Meerkat. :applesauce:

I mentioned in an earlier post that I liked Joan Elliott but that the magazine was hard to get here. Meerkat kindly offered to send me that section and I'm already happily stitching away.

We also learned what a small world we live in: she has been to Canada and visited the city where I live! :)

Thanks again!

The postperson was very nice to me yesterday - not only did I get the bobbins I'd bought on ebay for my braiding (which were in my letterbox) but at my front door was my stashmas present! YAY! :D

And I'd just been at the post office picking up my HAED charts which I should have had on Friday. Stupid post people couldn't find my envelope when I went to pick up my charts on Friday, and didn't call me either to let me know that they'd found it, I had to call them to find out.

I got a parcel from 123-stitch. I was so excited I couldn't open it quick enough so took to it with a knife and stabbed my thumb

anyway, it had some DMC marble fabric and a few of the dimensions daydreams kits. I got one from my stashmas sender and had never seen them before. I have already made that one up. I got heaps of different ones and am making some up as xmas presents.

I also got the woxs magazine sent to me.

Oh, and my mum and dad are coming over for xmas day and so I ordered the Royale Family DVD collection for them to watch, they love it as do I and they are in thier late 70's so it's a nice easy watch on a full belly! That came as well.
