I got some satin threads and some stranded cotton, beads and a couple of patterns. They were really quick delivery, I ordered on Monday and they were at home yesterday waiting for me.

Peppa Pig Live tickets  it's not till April but i got some decent seats, middle of the 5th row from the stage :D

I was starting to have a panic about them, cuz I had bought them, then realised when it comes to seeing the show I will be married  and will have a different name, but there are no names on the tickets :D

a little xmas kit I ordered camr today and I have already half finished it

It is a daydreams dimensions one that has a backing scene and glass cover with a stand and it's a little candle. There seems to be alot of cotton left and since it is so quick I may just make one more but into a ornament for a friend.

I am still waiting for
- bunion straighteners
- santa claws xstitch kit - someone has made this up, it was in the gallery recently.
- seahorse and shells mini kit <better come this week cause I am supposed to be doing it for a present> that should take about a day to make up.
- part of my 123-stitch back order
Current WIP's

* forever friends - "garden swing"
* Dimensions Gold "Four Seasons kittens"
* Dimensions Matted Accents "Kitten and Butterfly"

Very glad you got them which means Louise will be getting hers too!

Funny story about buying all that floss..between you and Louise I bought around 350 skeins of floss and at Michael's they have to scan each one in at the register..and they have a limit of 300 transactions and it nearly crashed their system! I felt so bad for the poor girl having to scan each one of those in. She had a deer in headlight look when I came up to her register with a huge basketful of threads!!

KB - have to laugh - I feel the same way when I stock up and Michael's or JoAnn's (though I have not hit the 300 item limit) - they can't seem to get a groove going and there's always a few that will not scan. I'm sure the receipt was quite longggggg. I actually feel bad for the person scanning and more so for the people in line behind me - I find myself apologizing to them throughout the transaction.

Barb - did I read somewhere that you were on a self imposed stash buying ban? (I could be confused) If you are on a ban, I like your style - that is the kind of ban I would like to convince my DH applies to stitching! I did the Santa Claws kit - quick easy stitch - hope you enjoy.

Too funny. I also stocked up on Thanksgiving weekend, although I was only buying 60 skeins. I walked up to the register, put down my pile of thread, gave the cashier a big smile, and said "I just want you to know that I'm apologizing in advance for asking you to scan all these." He looked at the threads, looked at me, grinned, and said "No problem! I get paid by the hour, and we're open until midnight!" It was 9am. My receipt was 3 feet long (in part because I had a coupon, and their system discounts each item individually (which took about 5 minutes). Although the cashier was quite jovial, the people in line behind me were not amused...

I got a goodly haul of charts, a copy of Cross Stitch Gold I was after, and an almost-new copy of Joan Elliott's Fantasy chartbook (can't remember it's exact title, but the one with dragons etc) - all bargain-cheap off eBay. I love that site!!

I haven't bought that much at one time either. Of course, I have the added joy of rescanning all of my purchases when I get home because of a survey group I belong to that tracks what households are and are not buying.

And today I got a parcel from Sew And So containing all the bits for my sister-in-law's gift (from my Mum, confusingly). Mum has a budget of £20 and never knows what to buy this particular daughter-in-law as she's very choosy. So I sugested some xs stuff as she enjoys doing kits.

I had great fun putting it together. Threads were out (as she only does kits) and I'd never choose a kit for someone, so she's getting:
a Lo-Ran magnetic board with marker-strips for her chart,
one of those diddy John James needle Pebbles,
Thread Heaven,
a daisy thread cutter,
a hoop
a packet of floss-away bags with a ring

And I got change for £20! Our hobby can be blissfully inexpensive sometimes!!

I got TW's "Tapestry cat" I have always liked this design but it has been out of print for ages.
I knew that now she had retired from cross stitch design the price would rocket (and it has on almost every TW kit/chart on ebay) anyway, I spotted one in the US, bid on it and got it so now it has arrived I'm one happy bunny.

Hardanger Table runner,
