Well, the hardanger is finished, but I'm waiting on the Quick Frame to arrive. *impatient drumming of fingers*

One of the little blackwork biscornu ornaments is finished, and I did find buttons that would suit, but can I find the kapok? I know it's here somewhere, but I put it away too carefully! :thinks:  Just need to start (and finish) the other ornament...

Oh, thank you - I googled it but it only gave me a type of tree as answer
(and it is also a Hungarian word meaning "I receive something" )

I'm glad to hear that everyone's projects are going well, and most of you seem to be ahead of schedule! Sadly, not so for me. I did as much as I possibly could on the dreaded table cloth this weekend, and have now completed the center ring, and half of the designs on the edge. So I'm about 3/4 of the way through, which is about the minimum I needed to have done to have any hope of finishing before Christmas. I'm definitely going to need to pick up another skein of the green and yellow somewhere during my travels, as I'm almost out of both. I would be in good shape...except...little brother decided he wants to have a pre-Christmas celebration at his place next weekend as he and his fiancee will be leaving on Monday to spend the holiday with her family. I'm really looking forward to it, however it means 9 hours of driving next weekend, and no stitching time...sigh.

I really must learn not to start big Christmas projects in November! I'm beginning to feel a bit like the scenes from the Simpsons, where a piece of food as it flies through the air, rolls on the ground, through puddles and other gross things and Homer is chasing after it yelling "It's still good, it's still good" at each stage. The irritating bit is that after doing exactly this with Rocky Point for mom's Christmas gift last year, I promised myself I wouldn't be doing things right up until Christmas this year. So I started a stocking in January for her Christmas gift this year, thinking I wouldn't want to do a stocking in August. Except that I finished it in April, and decided to give it to her for her birthday in June rather than hanging on to it for another 6 months. However, dreaded table cloth is almost done, and soon it will be gone and I will no longer have to move it every time I want something out of my stash! And since it's large, I can fill that space with new stash! Plus, that's the last gift for someone else that I have in my stash (other than finishing Fall Lake, which is half way done), so I'll be able to start something new...for me! HAED...Mystic Stitch...so many beautiful options. OK, I'm back in my happy place now. :D

I've stitched up day 2 now and finished the border on day 3 so there's still hope I'll get day 3 done for Christmas. I seem to be busy acquiring projects for the new year though, so not sure when the rest of the days will get done.

I am definitely behind schedule now! With the party this weekend and trying to get the house ready, I lost 3 days of stitching. I had it planned out that I needed to do 400 stitches a day in order to get the backstitching done and framing finished in time for Christmas Day. I think I managed a little over 100 stitches Sunday night, and I haven't touched it at all today because of a bad headache. :x :x :x Plus, I thought I was almost done with shopping, but SIL got a gift that I bought her for Christmas for her birthday so I have to return that and find something else.

Well I've finished all the cross stitch on the 3rd front of my stars as well as the dreaded gold backstitch. I should get the rest of the backstitch done today, then I'll just have 2 more fronts to do before I can add the beads, then 4 backs and then I can make them up.

I went and ordered the frames for my sister's and aunt's presents (and a few for me as I'm also stitching similar designs for me) on Saturday - $296 for 6 frames  . I'm getting 4 15cm square white frames ($44 each) and 2 20x15cm black frames ($60 each). Will pick them up on Saturday and then will have to frame the 3 designs by Christmas. :x: that I'll get it all done....

Little green biscornu stitched and now stuffed (kapok -- yes, a stuffing -- was under all the duvets in the cupboard where it had been thrown to get it out of the way when there were 9 people sleeping in my little house over Thanksgiving...) and the red one almost stitched and ready to be sewn together.

Quick frames haven't arrived. Although a small parcel from New Stitches did. Had my name on it, so I opened it. As you do. Thought to self, 'odd...' then realised it was the free gift which was part of the subscription renewal my boys are giving me for Christmas.  Quickly had it taken off me by DH. And, of course, I've forgotten all about it... :silenced:

I've finished my third coaster! Well, all but the backstitch and the washing and ironing and actually putting it in the coaster. Considering I had less than half of it finished on Wednesday, I'm really thrilled with how fast I've got through it.

I informed my son that he will get the rest of the EMS advent calendar rather late.....he is okay with it since so far, they have been having fun opening the ones that I already finished. I am still stitching EMS Advent Calendar and I am doing nbr "21". 4 more to go....then I am done. If I ever do another advent calendar again, I plan to start in the beginning of the year. Sigh!
