When I was little, I mean like 4 or 5, my sister had an asthma attack. She was taken into hospital and had tubes stuffed down her nose and throat. I went to visit her once and I can remember how she was laid in the bed, white as the sheets, barely moving. In so much...what I thought was pain, could have been discomfort. And my mummy and daddy were all fussing over her. Like more than they ever had done when she was sick. I thought "I'm going to loose my baby sister! Please! Please, if there is a god, let her live. I'll do anything, just don't let her die" I prayed every night she was in hospital. I don't know who I was praying to, because I didn't believe in God, but I'd been going to Sunday school from 3 months old, so I had a concept about it all. My family didn't understand that I knew about death, of course I did, it was covered in Sunday school! So they never reassured me that she wasn't going to die. They knew she wasn't because it wasn't half as bad as my innocent mind thought. But it scared me half to death!
Still, I may not believe in the Christian god, but on the off chance that someone did step in and help her, I refuse to go back on that promise. She could do pretty much anything and I'd hate her for about a week. And then I'll just remember her in that hospital bed and instantly forgive her. My mum thinks it's stupid how much that affected me, but I can't hate her because I already took myself to the point where I was in danger of loosing her and it was just too much to bear. So I'll never give up on her.
Gosh, talk about therepy!
Thank you ^_^ I'm actually loving this design! It's such a pleasure to stitch!
I bought it off of ebay I believe.I've had it almost as long as I've been on here. But it's a Jannlyn kit so I'm sure that you can get it off sewand so...

100% posative feedback and highly recommended, if I got it off ebay, I got it from them.
Going to finish the dress today, then work on her skin. I'm wondering if I should complete her before moving on, or leave the wings till last as they're metallic threads.
She's growing fast! As for which bits to do when, I generally work metallics as if they were not, if that makes sense -- what I mean is I do them in whichever order I think will work best, whether they're in metallic or stranded cotton. The only thing I tend to leave till last are beads, but even there if it's just a few beads in an otherwise stitched bit (like the ones I used as accents on the holly berries) I'll do them as I go along.
