Got a small pack of aperture cards and some "embellishments", originally ordered for some Xmas card that I had planned. However I haven't had time to prepare any mini projects to use, so they'll either be used for birthdays or Xmas 2010

Also had the box set of Ice Age 1, 2 and 3 DVDs as a prezzie for the OH

A puzzling parcel -- addressed to me with my first name written twice, followed by the word RENCRAFTLIGHT, then the rest of my address. It seems to be a clip-on light for a book, but no-one here has ordered anything and when I googled Rencraft I only got a kitchen supplier :thinks: :thinks: :thinks:

My mum suddenly decided that she wanted the Lavender and Lace Winter lady for christmas and Polstitches seemd to be the cheapest place to get it from. So of course, I just had to order a grab bag of their lovely dyed fabric as I have been eyeing them up for ages and it would have been rude not to.
It all came to day and is delicious. It is my first handdyed fabric experience and now I think I may be hooked!!

I got my prize from Cross Stitcher magazine this morning - a selection of Madeira silks and a daisy thread cutter. I've never used Madeira silks before (I've only ever used Kreinik Silk Mori so far!) so I'm really looking forward to finding the perfect project for them - perhaps a nice biscornu to start with as I'm taking partin the Basket of Biscornu in 2010.

I'm having all of my packages shipped to my parent's house for security reasons. My mom called me earlier today to say I had a VERY big package for me to stop by and pick up. :D It's from Joann's. I bought a bolt each of aida 14, 18 and hardanger 22 count fabric. I'll be experimenting dying my own fabric soon.

There sure did have a great sale on those bolts of fabric...I thought about buying a second one but it looks like they are all out now..plus they aren't on sale anymore! At least you will have a ton of fabric to do your experimenting with it!!

Lovely prize -- I did a biscornu some time ago using Eterna silk on one side and Madeira on the other, and I also used Madeira silk for a needlebook I did for DH's niece; it's quite easy to use and stitches up well, although it doesn't quite have the shine of some other silks. It's lovely and plump though!

I'm so sorry Louise..I hope it all gets figured out soon as I know you are waiting for those threads to arrive!!
