Newbie

Post by Lisa Bergin »

Hi All,

Have just joined this forum, which I found when looking for something else. I have been stitching for 17 years and am the queen of the UFO, which is one of my goals for 2010 to actually finish things I start. I look forward to spending time on here and reading the other posts :)

Hi, Lisa, welcome to the forum. We help each other a lot in finishing UFOs, just join our UFO-week in the S-A-L section.

Thank you for your lovely welcome. I like to stitch all sorts of things but I suppose my main area of stitching is fairies/ladies. Most of my UFO's are either Passione Ricamo or Joan Elliott designs with the odd Lavender and Lace one thrown in for good measure. Plus a couple of HAED's as well. I think I have over 50 UFO's in total. I really am a hopeless case. I get all enthusiastic make good progress, then get bored, something new takes my fancy and hey-ho another UFO!!

Its probably more than 50, but they are not all large pieces, some are small things like biscornus etc. That is why my main resolution for the new year is to get to grips with the UFO's and if I do start a project to actually finish it so I don't keep adding to the UFO pile.

lisa- i feel for you with the UFO's. I cant imagine having 50+!!!

I have quite a few in my sewing (garment sewing) pile. They just stress me out being there!

Thankfully with cross stitch I have limited myself to finishing one before I start another. The only unfinished one i have- is from high school and i just cant seem to either finish or part with it. Its not interesting enough for me to finish it- and not simple enough that I want to just throw i out.
