I love the biscornu design Sarah, is it from a magazine?

Susan, the design on the biscornu was just a free blackwork download I found that I had printed off and stored. I think I had just typed something like "free blackwork" into Google and that was one of the things that came up.

I've just finished the lion so here is the final picture:-

Here's my first effort at Hardangar - it was the second practise project in the book, with mostly satin stitch making up "ships" and kloster blocks.
Image

Then I had to cut holes in it! Agghhh! Very scary at first, but I must admit it was easier than I feared. The only problem with the coloured thread is that you can see the cut edges easily, but I understand if you wash and press it, they shrink back under the stitching.
Image

Now onto the next piece, which has a few more complicated bits in it - dove's eye filling and eyelets.

And one more. This one has dove's eye filling and eyelets. Once I got used to doing something totally different, I felt I got on quite well with this. I'd love to make something larger in the future like a tablecloth or something.

I decided to work on the miniature tiger today - got all the cross stitch on his body done, so now there's a bit of backstitch and the border to do.
