C is for Kitty-cat by the Sweetheart Tree

Post by koko »

Just doing a quick stitch while I am travelling over the holidays. This one is called "C is for Kitty-Cat" and is put out by The Sweetheart Tree. I am stitching on 28 count Summer Khaki Cashel linen, 2 threads over 2, and it is 70x70 stitches. This has a couple if specialty stitches I have been wanting to try out (scotch stitch, Rhodes heart, Rhodes butterfly). Here is what it will look like when completed:

That kitty on the bottom looks so fuzzy! Is that done in one of the specialty stitches??

No, the kitty on the bottom is in regular cross stitches, but the thread is fuzzy :) it's called Wisper and it's from Rainbow Gallery. I haven't used it yet but I am super excited to start it!

Faith, here is a picture of the wisper thread next to regular DMC thread so you can see the difference:

Goes to show you how clueless I really am when it comes to cross stitching anything outside of DMC thread and full crosses (i've never heard of any of those stitches or wisper thread!)

I do adore this design though and can't wait to see more! :applesauce: :applesauce:
