That's an adorable giraffe and I love the way it came out too!

I was a bit worried about the back but it seems to be ok. It doesn't look particularly pretty but it certainly holds ok. The plastic canvas isn't slippery, in fact it almost sort of holds the thread to itself. That probably doesn't make sense but all I know is the threads behave on it much better than I thought they might.
This will be in Oliver's stocking!

Didn't do much stitching at all over Christmas but made a start on this Winnie the Pooh bookmark.
When finished it says READ in pictures of Pooh shaped into letters!
For some reason I didn't really enjoy doing the start of this so I am quite glad to be back home and back to me HAED. I shall do some more of this when I next need something little to take away.
Pooh is looking good! Is it maybe you're used to the coverage on HAED fabric and this is much bigger? Usually takes me a while to get used to a different fabric again after working on one for a while.
Yes Louise,
I think you are probably right. The fabric is just so different to work with plus there are a lot of fractionals. I will persevere though coz I like the finished bookmark.
I think I'ev seen those Pooh letters before, do they come in Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger as well? Sorry to hear he is not so enjoyable to stitch, but he looks good!
Just bumping this up as I have been working on the Pooh bookmark again.
We are away staying in Wales with my man's parents so brought this away with me rather than packin up the Haed blue mask. I have finished the next letter so am over half way.
Pictures tomorrow, hopefully!
