Any ideas on what to do with these stitches?

Post by silviaciuchi »

Hi, I've just finished these two little projects from Cross Stitcher, I'm not sure what to do with them:

In the magazine this design is a decoration for a pillow, but I've got so many pillows around, what would you do with this instead?

And here's number 2, it should be a needle keeper but I would do a pot-pourri holder instead:

Whatever comes to your beautiful minds, hints are welcome!

I think the first one would be great for decorating a tote-bag, or depending on the size, the cover of a notebook. It is lovely, by the way :applesauce: :applesauce:
I agree with you, the strawberry would be really good as a scented sachet or something similar.

They are both really nice.

The first one could make a nice table cover on a side table or in the kitchen.

The second one would make a great scent sack.

They are both lovely and I agree with Rose. I gave not done a blackwork stitching before but this might inspire me to give it a try.

I'm planning on doing that very blackwork projct at some point - possibly for a cushion (or, depending on how much I enjoy it, several cushions!). You've done a lovely job of it and I think it would look lovely on a bag. :)

I like the idea's you've already been given for what to do with them both, so just wanted to say how nice I think they've turned out.

If you want to see an example, I have done a stitched box-top for my daughter:

A box is a terrific idea!
Thanks, Agi, I'll try to make one myself...
