I love this  I'm not usually a fan of cartoon characters but I love art deco and Bugs Bunny looks great in this. Congratulations on such a great finish :applesauce:

I love the tension of his whiskers and how they seem to float. Any special techniques or tricks?

Even with all the horrible-to-to metallic stitching, I bet he still made you smile :D :D He's a great finish :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

The whiskers are done as single long stitches on top of the design, whereas all of the other outlining were normal backstitch. I use a Needle Needs frame (marvellous) so tension wasn't much of a problem and those stitches are well anchored on the back.

Ohhh that darn metallic thread all the way around the border was so slow and fragile to stitch with. And you can hardly notice the effect of it in the photo (although you can see it in person thankfully).

My thanks again to everyone else for your very kind comments. I certainly agree it is a slightly "different" cartoon character design which is why it appealed to me over the usual "kiddies" patterns. A shame there are not a few more in a series.

It's really lovely. Reminds me of those old movie posters... :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:
