Ali-Cat's Window - Framed

Post by ali-cat »

I'm feeling a little emotional – it's my first SAL posting!!!

Thanks to 'mags' recommendation I ordered the chart to Four Seasons Window, by email, yesterday – and it arrived about 3 hours later. It is for 14ct Aida, with about 40 colours. Unfortunately I only have about half the colours needed in my stash and a barely big enough piece of 28ct Evenweave, so I will, of course, wait until I have exactly the right things before starting it.

Yeah right!!

So first thing this morning I was up, sorting out threads, sewing up the Evenweave, to spot it fraying and getting stuck in!! Am I a big kid, or what??!!

Here's the first photo – although I am tempted to actually wait now until I get the Aida as the old eyes are struggling already!!

Thankfully only 2 reds so far - as it's the only 2 I have!! I'll carry on with the black borders and see how far I get, before I get down to the local floss shop. :D

That looks gorgeous already, what a good start! And I can't blame you for not wanting to wait for all the necessaries to arrive -- sometimes you just HAVE to start a project :-)!
