I have so many patterns that I have actually chosen, that to get a subscription and not like more then one in each issue doesn't make sense to me. But when I was building my stash of charts I did have a sub to Stoney Creek then they screwed me out of 3 issues claiming I owed more money. I had proof that I did not but they would not honor the contract so I said, "Go blow away." I did love their patterns though. And I had a sub to The Cross Stitcher but as I said before I would only find one maybe 2 per issue that I would like to stitch so let the sub run out. I was also given a bunch of mags from a friend and I got a job lot off e-bay once that was very nice so I have way more patterns then I can ever stitch so I do not have any subscriptions and don't intend to have any in the future.

I have subscribed to WOCS and CS at separate times as they are expensive but I don't sub to either nowadays as I have enough charts to keep me going.I do occasionally treat myself to a magazine.

Well, I've cancelled my WOXS and CS subscriptions. I'm going to cancel Card Shop after I get my next issue. I've got a fair few kits in my stash cabinet (oh, and a new stash cabinet which I'll be boasting about separately!) and stacks of charts to look through to choose my next few projects so all in all I'm happy with doing things this way for a while :) I might start up subscriptions again, I'll keep an eye on the offers they have going though, if I'm going to give them money I might as well get something I like out of it ;)
WIPs:
Snow Princess and the Polar Bear HAED

Plans:
Twinkle twinkle cushion for nephew's third birthday (September 2015)
Man U crests for husband and brother-in-law

I know I am really bad I subscribe to WOXS. Crazy and Crossstitcher and I am nor really sure why :thinks: One of them, I took out a sub at the NEC show and got a free bag full of plastic storage boxes and it is very useful. Like others have said there is usually only 1 or 2 charts I like and sometimes none that I will stitch as I have far too many kits and charts to last my life time but it's good when someone on here asks for a particular chart and I can get that issue and send it to them.
I also used to enter all the comps and did win a few times but that was 5/6 years ago not won anything for ages. :( I really look forward to it coming through the door but often now I feel a bit dissappointed. My WOXS has just expired and I don't think I will renew it :thinks:
