I definately would do the white as I go along. That is how I stitch.

I can't think of any good reason why you shouldn't do the white as you go along. If you didn't it would be horrendous having to do it all at the end.

Ob Sunday I am meetiing my best friend for lunch and I am giving her the finished peice I made for her wedding. I will try and get a picture of her face and post it too

I'm about to start this design, just waiting for the chart and fabric to come in the post It'll be for my BIL and future SIL who are also getting married in October. You're not my SIL are you?

Anyway, great start, looking forward to seeing more. We'll have to cheer each other on.

Oooooh how exciting! It will be like having a team mate What fabric are you using? I am using the linen that the chart recommends.

I've never stitched on anything but aida and didn't want to start experimenting with this one. I did want the fabric to be a bit special though and decided to go with Zweigart Lurex Aida Gold flecked cream. I thought the bit of gold in the fabric would go with the gold lettering, fingers crossed

Here is an update after a weekend of stitching. I am definitely getting more used to working on the linen and starting to enjoy it now.



I have also been trying out my new Lowery stand and clip frame. Its taking a bit of getting used to converting from using hoops but its getting better.
