Has anyone ever come accross something that claimed to be rococo? I know it is supposed to be ornate, colourful, and full of gold and miniature details, and I also found some reference to ribbon embroidery...
I need some ideas / simple motifs for a poem that's haunting me again.... - crazy, isn't it?

All I've found is that Rococo stitch (I don't know if that's what you're refering to Agi?) looks like (or is also known as) a queen stitch. Is that what you mean Agi?

TB, thanks for this info, I didn't now that, but no, it's not hat I am looking for. I would like to see some examples of stitching (possibly cross-stitch, but other embroidery, too) that is or resembles the Rococo style - here it was "in fashion" at the end of the 18th century... May go to the library... - what a strange idea

The library might be a great place Agi. I found this book which says it has rococo in it, but it might only be briefly mentioned (and is massively expensive anyway) but could be worth a look at in the library. Book

Oh, that looks great! Thank you! I don't think I will find anything like this in our libraries, though... But perhaps they have something in Hungarian.
