A Couple of Questions

Post by Mozza340 »

Hey I have a couple of questions which I would like to ask.
1) Due to the fact that I am a student and have 0 money, I was wondering where is the cheapest place to by DMC and Anchor Threads from? Most places around here sell them for about 70p but I was wondering if anyone knew any sites that were cheaper?
2) What do you keep all your your cross stitch stuff? I have got it all in box files but I want to put it in something else, maybe drawers or something?

37p per skein
35p per skein

I think they have to order them in for you though, so you might have to wait a little while for them to arrive. Still, it's half the price.

If you want them quickly, try Sew and So (59p per skein). It's a little more expensive than the other two, but you'll get them within a couplke of days max and it's still cheaper than buying them from a shop.

I buy my threads off ebay from either "westbbc" or "katzxstitch". Both of them do packs of 5 skeins for £2 including postage, making them 40p each. But if you buy a larger quantity at once, the price gradually gets less. I think I bought 50 skeins at once one time and they ended up being 26p each.

I used to sell Anchor thread at 4 pence a metre (10 metre lengths) and still have a good stock of about 350 colours if that it is any help I could let you have it at 35 pence for the 10 metres.

Edit. Forgot to say that I also have 4 metre lengths and 2 metre lengths at 4 pence per metre (you would need to have the full range) which means that you can get a huge choice of colours.
