Hi
I am working on Winter Cardinals(by Dimensions) - this is my progress so far. Hope the pic loads up ! You can't tell so much in the picture but for the snow (it is half cross stitch with 4 threads of white) I have added some sparkle.

I love the sparkle idea. So many seem to do it here, and I'd like to try it as well... I should look for a snowy pattern!

Amber this is looking very pretty!
The sparkle in the snow shows up and makes it look really lifelike. Very nice touch!

Ooooh...I've had my eye on this one for awhile. It will be great to see someone stitch it! Looks beautiful so far - I love the deep red berries, and I do believe I see a bit of sparkle in the snow.

How beautiful! I love how the snow pops out from the rest. Is the rest stitched with 2 strands? I love that you have added some sparkle.

The white snow is stitched with 4 strands (plus one glittery filament) - half cross stitch.
The light blue colour underneath the white is half cross stitch - 2 strands of white and 2 grey blue.
The rest of the stitching is full cross stitch with 2 threads. The snow really pops and is raised so looks good on top of the branches. The red is the start of the 2nd cardinal.

Great start and I too love the idea of adding the sparkle - what blending filament did you use?
