Wedding photo WIP -- Now framed! (April 11 2010)

Instead of having the fabric at the top, I reversed it so the fabric is recessed in the frame. Does that make sense? Now if anything gets dirty at the bottom of the frame it's the back side. The other benefit is that I have a place to hold the pattern.

I do the same. I use Q-snaps, so I also put strips of white flannel about 4 inches wide at the top and bottom edges of the fabric, under the snaps. I just finished one long project and was amazed at how soiled the flannel got just from resting on my lap - that would have been on the back of the fabric if I hadn't protected it that way.

This is fabulous, and such a great idea. Might have to dig out my wedding photos but probably a bit dated now

I did a bunch of my chest last night, which was kind of disconcerting because it was all this really light ice blue (I guess it's the light in the original photo?). Luckily it looks mostly normal in a photo or if you take a step back but when I was stitching last night, I felt like I was making a zombie version or dead skin.

Looks fine on my monitor, but I know what you mean about a colour throwing you. I'm sure once you get it all finished though you'll be really pleased with it.

Got a whole bunch done on this one this weekend.



I added the gridding marks so that I could do squares out of order for the remainder of the work. The flowers on the right are very intricate and the black on the left is boring, so I'm alternating between them to save what's left of my sanity.

It's almost done now -- only 36 squares to go!!
