Spring has sprung!

Post by topbiddy »

I am joining in today for the first time in a while. I have been off doing other stuff and the stitching bug decided to hibernate also. But now I am sitting in the conservatory which is full of sunshine and looking at a blue sky. Could this be the end of winter??? :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: Ohh, it does seem to have been a long one doesn't it. I have a couple of UFO's but can't get into them, so I have decided to stash them away as they make me think of winter   and start something new and fresh for spring. I am going through my stash and when I have decided I will post a picture. I think we should all inspire each other to look forward to the nice weather. Me and hub are going to see Alice n Wonderland tonight too and having a meal in the pub. All happening here

Glad you're getting back into your stitching :applesauce: I think we may be over winter here in southern Wisconsin. Temps in the 40's this week and next. Snows melting away fast. I heard a woodpecker the other day and I usually don't hear them in the winter.

We have had some sunshine, too, but we just got a nasty cold hit, it was minus 5 degrees this morning, and next week is promising to be even colder! And it's March! :x Someone has really confused things in this weather.

Here in Italy the light definitely yell "Spring!", but it's so cold and windy I don't dare to put my nose out of the window... My dad says it's going to snow around next Wednesday!

Me too. But yesterday while my DH was doing a bit of gardening (first time this year), I did my 1st bit of cross stitch since last October. Hooray! Spring is nearly here, I can see the buds forming on our daffodils and the crocuses are in flower too. And I've just ordered some plants online.

We had some sunshine today, although it was again below zero in the morning, then suddenly it started to snow! Huge flakes! It stopped soon, but the sun hasn't come back :(

Here in mid-coast Maine, usually a cold and snowy state, all the snow is melted, the ice has gone out in the lakes and streams, and it has been warm and sunny enough to open the doors and windows a bit to let in some fresh spring air. We had a much milder winter than folks in some other parts of the US. However, Maine is unpredictable, so there may be more of winter ahead. But these last few days have been wonderful!

It's cold as well, but when you're well wrapped up and out in that lovely sun ... it's wonderful!

It's a little frosty in the mornings but been very sunny for quite a few days now, although still cold. And there are definitely snowdrops and crocuses here and there :D
I'm afraid all the trouble this winter and two bad falls on the ice have made me want to move somewhere where it's always sunny! I keep saying that I'm NEVER going to complain about being too hot again... let's see if I keep to it...
