HAED offered this quick stitch, designed by Ching Chou Kuik, and donated all the proceeds to Drs. without Border for Haitian Relief. For so many reasons, I knew that I needed her.
Here is the link to the finished picture.

I am stitching her on 28 ct. evenweave. It is hand-dyed rose by Dovestitch. I am stitching 1 over 1.
This is after page 1 is complete. The next page is her face, so I am SOOOO excited.

Looks really great. I had to get this one when it came out too - think this is the 1st WIP I've seen of it and it's turning out really well.

This is beautiful - the color blending is amazing, and preserves so much of the detail.

Great start, so much detail already and lovely colours!
Can I ask, out of curiosity, why you have chosen a hand-dyed fabric for a design that fully covers the background? Do you find that it does "shine through" and give a little something extra to the stitches?

Mabel,
I decided to go with the hand-dyed fabric because instead of framing it, I am going to turn it into a decorative pillow to sit on the bed in my spare bedroom. The finished design on the 28 ct. is about 5 x 7 and the pillow will be 12 x 12, so the pretty fabric will come out on the sides.
Plus it's fun to look at as I stitch
