I'm not sure about Scotland, but I would use a dark green and a darker shade of purple to outine the thistle.

Totally agree---I think I'd leave the lettering alone and do the outlining like pamelam says

I agree with the above comments. The thistle would look great with the extra detail

Thanks.
I'm going to outline the blue part of the flower too, because you can see the pencil marks. Thats why i asked about Scotland also, because of the pencil marks. Lol

The pencil lines should come out when you wash it.

This is why I never use pencil to mark on fabric. I made that mistake once long ago and the markings do not come out with washing even when you scrub on it. I always use a fabric pen as that does come out.
I agree with the other ladies and think that green and purple would make it much better then black.

I found out the hard way that pencil marks don't come out of fabric. It was very frustrating!

Well I'm give it a wash and see what happens. Even if it comes off alittle, i can only see it because i know its there.

There is a thread in the "Tips and Tricks that tells about washing projects. I just throw mine in the washing machine on the gentle cycle. But it can be a hand wash as well. Besure to finish the edges first or they will fray.

The flag I had to find a similar one to get the cross right(still not perfect
). but the flower and scotland I drew? out
I love flags, I collect loads of them (Real ones)
I have a project that has loads of little flags on the one piece of fabric.
One for Greece would be nice. Not sure what flower I would do, but the flag would be easy enough.

Thanks.
For the flower part which is little blue. Will I just use the darker blue for outline or the silver blue?

That's a little harder decision. I'm thinking to go with the silver blue.

I'll use the silver blue for the top part and the dark blue for the stem part and see how it looks
Well, Thank you all ladies for your time and advice.
