natural_isis' WIPs

Post by natural_isis »

Hope to post some of these in their own thread soon, but thought I would give you all a small peak into the scope of my insanity. Theses are a few of my WIPs. There are a few (dozen) others, but most are just blobs of background at the moment.

And this is what they will eventually look like.

Hope you enjoy them!

Thanks everyone!

I have tried rotations in the past, but can never seem to stick to them. I generally just work on whatever is shouting the loudest (and some of them are extremely bossy). I wish I could say that these are all that I have going, but since I also do quilting, crochet, knitting, and am learning to do hardanger, I'm afraid my WIP pile runneth over. I don't mind though. Needlework relieves stress and keeps me sane. Lets just say that I enjoy the ride so much that arriving at an eventual destination is very rewarding, but not completely necessary. Besides, I have found thus far that the "destination" seems to go home with someone else as soon as it is reached. I literally have nothing that I have made in my house, which is why I have decided that the current WIPs are mine, mine, mine! My only regret is that I can't stitch more, but a full time job, a newly retired husband, and almost 9 (one due in June) grandchildren make for a busy life.

Happy stitching everyone!

Wow, I'll learn all your words by heart, because they speak so much of my attitude towards cross stitch, too, but I couldn't express it as well as you did!

As for your 7 wips, they're all lovely and I especially love the Pompeian Lady and the one about books. I'll look forward to seeing every progress, and congratulations for your little tribe of grandchildren!

I like your attitude :D :D :D So many of us feel guilty about not finishing things, yet it's the stitching we enjoy. Next time I start something new I'll remember it's a bonus to finish something, instead of the aim

Love your WIPs a lovely diverse mixture :applesauce: :applesauce:

I totally agree with your attitude to stitching. I stitch for the sheer pleasure of stitching and the finished product is an extra bonus. :D Love your projects and look forward to seeing them come to life. :applesauce: :applesauce:

Great attitude to stitching! This is the way I'm also thinking now - nice just to work on lots of different projects here and there, rather than having to think of getting them finished, great explanation/excuse for new starts!

Interesting to see them all laid out together too, the book one especially is looking stunning :applesauce:

Wow! Not sure I could cope with that many projects at once  I see you have Curl up with a Good Book - I got that chart as my first HAED though have another big project to do first. Look forward to seeing your progress on this one. :D

What a nice variety of stitching. I love the look of them and it is nice you can stitch whatever takes your fancy. I can't do that as it would drive me crazy to have so many in different stages. But since it works for you that is all that matters. Beautiful patterns and I will look forward to update pictures.

I am impressed with how many you do at once. I usually just stick to one.
