industrial sewing machine

I know it's a long shot.

I need an industrial sewing machine that with get though 4 layers of leather. Possilbly with a cylinder arm.

I don't have one personally but I can recommend the following makes: Singer, Husqvarna (what I have) and Bernina.

I would suggest maybe going to a sewing shop or a Joann Fabric and asking there as well. Most likely they will only sell the more common usage ones but they may have contacts for people who are going into business where they'd need an industrial one. They could give specific model suggestions or may even know of companies getting rid of old equipment, etc.

Then you could also check eBay and other sites like that.

Was just browsing Joann's as I'm looking for something for my mother and saw this:

Obviously pricey but as they have one commercial level then the sales people probably know about industrial machines and can help you!

Thanks for the link, I've been having a nose at it. I think the singer 20u73 would be o.k. I'll have a look and see if I can find somewhere in the U.K that has one for me to look at.

I will definatly be spending the savings on an industrial machine, I found one that was perfect but it cost £3500, I'll just have dreams of owning it.
