Flash your STASH!

Post by purrple_paws »

I don't know about you but stash related topics are my absolute favourite. Makes me wanna buy new things ( ) or simply inspires me to start using things I already have  So, I thought it would be nice to have a topic for this sole purpose.

I don't have any pics of my stash yet but I'll surely take some if anyone's interested.
Now show me yours!

I'll go first! (I'm a sucker for photos  )

The leftmost and center piles are current projects and the righthand bin is my general stash. I have a few hoops/frames/piles of Aida that I didn't include in the pic since they're downstairs in a closet. :D

Also included, Nin the ever-helpful ;)

I haven't thought of using my lap stand like that, carolynbb. Do you prefer to have it like that or with the top rod connected so it makes more of a triangle? Just curious. I've only been using mine for a few months even though I've had it for a few years because the rods were too small so there wasn't a tight fit.

In general, I like it with the top rod connected, but the chair I've been sitting on lately (due to back problems) doesn't really work with it that way. I'm not sure why, but when I tried to use it "normally", it kept tipping and felt too tall/far away. So I'm going with the bottom rod connected for this project and so far it's working pretty well. :D

I stitch with my lap stand exactly as pictured. I tried it with the top rod through the stand holes and I thought it was good for one thing--firewood.

I'll have to try it. Depending on which chair I'm in, it might work. If I'm in one chair, I have to have the stand on the arms (I've got 36" rods on it so it is pretty wide). Thanks for the info.

I have nothing coming from the postie but I purchased these lovely stork scissors from a little needlework/knitting shop in Northwich. The scissor part is longer than the stork scissors I use at present and sharper too...better for dealing with :anotherfrog: problems. My fob is the one Mayne sent to me last year, and it goes with my scissirs splendidly.

Very pretty scissors! I've never seen stork scissors anything other than gold.
