I had this same problem with my little cross stitches that I couldn't justify custom framing. What I did was get a nice photo binder with acid-free page protectors. I put each project in a sleeve with a piece of acid-free paper behind it to cover the back (and some of them I made simple mats for with the same paper and sandwiched them between). What I ended up with was a nice binder full of little projects that I could look at when I wanted but weren't cluttering up my house. You may want a more "display" option but it worked well for me.

umm, big enough to hold your projects?

Most of mine were 5 X 7 so I got a letter-sized one. 8 X 11.5 or whatever.

Depending on the size of the pieces you could make them into a couple of quilted throws. Then you could display your work for all to see and they would be useful also.

Stitchlets! I've never heard of that term before! I like it :). I like the idea of maybe making a book with them... Although a blanket would be nice too...

cushions, assorted bags, are all fairly easy to make and use a stitched piece that size you have.

would any fit into those cheapish snap hoop frames? I tend to use those if i can for smaller stuff.
