Wel, I decided the biscofleur would be blackwork, so I've designed 5 little faces, eachof which will be repeated three times (apart from one design, which will be stitched twice and the third one will be my name and the date). Haven't decided on a colour scheme yet though, and whether or not to use beads on it (although I suspect I may well use a few just for a bit of extra bling - LOL!).
It's that time of the month again! I have marked up my fabric ready to start stitching the 15-faces of my biscofleur tomorrow. I have decided to go with a simple black on white 14-count aida as I've designed 5 different blackwork faces, each measuring 16x16 stitches, and one with my name and the date on (which will replace one of the 5th design faces).
I've been looking forward to working on this month's biscornu, although I'm a tiny tad worried about the assembly of it as the biscofleur is a whole new one on me. Still, I've never been one to shirk from a challenge - this month the biscofleur and next month, perhaps, I will attempt my first hardanger... we will see!
Well, here's my progress so far. I've designed 5 different blackwork faces and one extra face with my name and the date on. there will be 3 of each of the 5 designs, with the exception of the 5th design, of which there will be 2 (the 3rd one will be replaced with the name and date face).
So far I've stitched 3 of design #1 and am almost 1/2 way through the first of design #2:
