Raven's work

Post by Raven »

Here are the two pieces I am working on.

Christmas Dreams (blue colorway on silver dusted aida) by Joan Elliott

Image

This is the last WIP Pic I have of it, taken March 20, 2010. Though I have done more. The space between his beard and hair is almost completely filled in. I just haven't taken a more recent picture yet. I am loving the way the silver dusted aida complements the blues so well. It is a fairly easy design so I can stitch on it even if I am distracted by pain.

I am also working on a Quaker sampler by A Mon Ami Pierre. I almost have the first page completed.

Image

Latest WIP pic as of April 10, 2010.

And this one shows the lower left motifs that got cut off since it was still in the hoop for the April 10th picture.

I am using 28ct evenweave for the Quaker and DMC Floss colors 3831 (dark), 3832 (medium) and 3833 (light). I am enjoying the heck out of the Quaker. I love how each motif is a mini-happy dance and how the colors look so crisp and clean against the white background.

Thank you maggs, Meerkat, Pam, and Karen. I appreciate it.

Ohh I love using my hair clips to hold the extra fabric. I can roll the fabric up and the clips keep it out of the way. :)

Thank you all! I hope to do some stitching today since the Sunday dinner is a meal I don't have to stand watch over. (That's one point for cooking a turkey)

Here is the latest WIP pic. Christmas Dreams as of April 25, 2010.

Image

I added a bit more of the beard on lower right side, but I was more in the mood to stitch a small design I found in an old issue of The Gift Of Stitching called Frogging Around. I put a pic up in a new thread.
