Waiting for the mailman.

Post by Loopy »

Who else is impatient???

My next project is 'Peonies & Canterbury Bells'. I have been promising my in-laws for year that I would stich them something and so I decided that this is the year and I'll get it framed up for them for Christmas. I hope this isn't overly ambitious, could be Christmas 2011 ;)

I've had to order the kit from the US about a week ago. And I spoke with the ladies yesterday and she said that it could be quick, or it could be up to 3 weeks for delivery. I find myself checking the postman constantly - I'm so excited to get it and make a start.

A well, Dragonfly is getting lots of attention and is nearly finished so I suppose I shouldn't complain - I just LOVE the anticipation of a new project :D

I'm also waiting for a kit to come. I ordered it Sunday off of Ebay. I've ordered from the same people before and know they ship very quickly. I've been checking eagerly since Tuesday, even though I know realistically it probably won't be here till Thursday.

I'm in the same boat as you guys. My supplies had been shipped out on the 19th and was advised that it would be at least two weeks before it arrived on my doorstep.

i got a heap of stuff just after easter/before the volcano and some still hasn''t come. It is so frustrating. I am waiting for 8 more parcels. The exchange rate was great, but this whole saga has actually stopped me looking on ebay for bargains. I haven''t bought anything for a couple of weeks.

I'm impatient too! But I must confess, this time its for some baby things I ordered  Actually one package is for the baby, some beautiful cotton muslin swaddling wraps for the baby since he's going to be a summer baby. I am so "pro-swaddle", at least swaddling them as long as they'll allow me to, ant the muslin should be perfect for the heat!

The other package I am currently waiting for actually has 2 blouses in it that I ordered to wear to my baby shower. Well I'm going to pick one.

Shipping is so different depending on form where and from whom you order. I ordered the blouses more than a week ago, and I am hoping they come by the beginning of next week since the shower is on Thursday.

The baby wraps I ordered last night, after midnight, and they will be here on Friday. The company I ordered the wraps from has always been RIGHT on time with their delivery predictions, like last time they said "midday" Wednesday and the delivery man was at my door at 12:15! So that's what I call service!!

But in cross-stitchery fun I received a package last week with a small stash, I got some extra needles, some Thread Heaven, some DMC threads for my current WIP, some plastic bobbins and metal clip rings to store my meager thread stash on for now, AND a kitty cat pattern I could NOT resist! I should have taken photos, but forgot, but I'll see if I can scare up a photo of the kit that I am in love with right now!

I was super delighted to see this in person, the blues are much more vibrant, some of them even cerulean! I want to start on it right away! But must keep trucking along!

The mailman coming a pretty distinctive sound... of a vehicle stopping and going.. and with the oldie music blaring and the mailman singing like he's a rockstar.. I  our mailman he's the coolest. When I had to wait for my grab bag of fabric I would climb up on the couch like a little kid and watch him stop and go stop and go... Then I had to play it cool and wait a few minutes so it didn't look like I was WAITING for the mailman or anything @rotfl: I haven't ordered anything in awhile... it's fun waiting for stuff in the mail

I'm waiting for the mailman too  It's been several weeks since I made my order, but the packages haven't come. I'm hoping the other would come tomorrow (before the weekend) :x:

Well now I have to wait till next week to watch for my package. I thought it was shipped this past Monday, but my husband said he got an e-mail from the people and they said as they are on vacation this week, it will ship next Monday. I was a little dissapointed at first, but part of the fun is the anticipation anyway.

I'm waiting for a package as well, though it's nothing I ordered but rather something I won. (Prize pack for one of my favorite TV shows, Psych!)
