Disneyland Castle (Updated: 7/20/2012)

Post by Stitch »

Yet another new project for me. I saw this kit when I was in Orlando for spring break, and I just couldn't pass it up. I've been excited to get started on it ever since I got it. My mom loves Disney, so this will be going to her once it's finished, although that's still a long way off.

Finished product:

Despite being such a gorgeous design, this is possibly one of the worst kits I've come across so far. The instructions are not laid out well and are difficult to understand, and the chart includes many nearly-identical symbols. I have to be really careful when checking colors to make sure I'm actually looking at the right symbol.

Aside from that, what little I have finished so far has been quite fun. This kit has many different types of stitches, and it even uses beads, which I've never done before, so it should be a nice challenge for me.

It looks like a wonderful finish. Sorry that the chart and instructions are such a problem. :?

I will truly enjoy watching this one stitch up. Sorry about the instructions...or should I say lack thereof.

I was just looking at the Disney designs online yesterday. I'm sad because you can only get them at 'select' theme parks and the ones in California must not be 'select' because I've tried several times.

What a shame that it sounds a difficult project (due to instructions and chart) but I hope you're able to persevere with it. It's going to look great when it's finished.
Great start already.
