The magnets are now in place on Mal and Katy's fridge, and they love them :)

I found out the other day that my godfather's step-daughter, who has wanted to have children for years, is pregnant. As luck would have it I had this lovely little card kit in my stash, and a few bits and pieces to add to it to make it really special :) I've not yet updated the sampler with this finish but I will in the next couple of days. She's having a daughter, due in September.

What a cute card! And I love the fridge magnets. It'll be great to look back on your sampler in years to come and see all the things you stitched each year.

OH's cousin recently gave had her second child, a little boy this time named Matthew. I stitched a patch for a baby vest for her daughter, Emily, when she was born. Now I know more about stitching in general, and waste and soluble canvas in particular, so I decided to stitch Matthew's gift straight on to the vest :) Naturally, it's far too big for him, being for age 0-3 months. I'm sure he'll grow in to it soon.
