grubby Aida

I am stitching The Wedding, before I got my floor standing frame, the edge wherethe fame rested the aida has become grubby(did not notice until I rolled the fabic on) can I just wash/clean this bit before I stitch it? Any ideas, dont want to wash the whole thing until its finished.

not sure what country you are in but in the US we have something called oxyclean..it works wonders for getting stains out....hope someone can help you more and good look!

I used to have the problem before I started taking my piece of the frame every day. I haven't had a problem washing the grubby area out using just a little dish soap

Thanks for replys, took the plunge and washed grubby area, came up good as new, no disasters..Phew...

Glad it worked out for you. I just noticed one of my WIP's have got grubby, so I guess I'll need to sort that as well.
