You're really flying with this one -- nothing like a few irresisitible new projects waiting for you to speed up your stitching on the present WIP
Doesn't he look comfortable on that branch?
Absolutely, Mabel! And he does look comfy - except for his uplifted left paw which is suspended from nothing on the branch, not even a claw hooked in to hold it in place! I may experiment a bit to see if I can make a realistic backstitch claw or two digging into the branch, cos it doesn't look right to me as it is.
The left paw ..... You may find when you've backstitched it looks okay. Our Ellie sprawls out like that and rests her head on her paw, to keep it in place .... and she's only got 3 legs!!

Three legged and tail-less!!
We scraped her off the side of the road about two years ago after (we presume) she had been hit by a car. Both back legs and her tail were broken. Tail went immediately and the leg just this January, after 15 months of hoping it would improve ..... not much of her left, but she's an absolute nightmare to keep up with and a complete imp, as you can see from her expression in my avatar!!

Poor little girl! She looks totally manic in your avatar, though, so obviously her accident didn't damage her spirit!
