Before I begin...a mega big thank you again to Mabel to making this dream(y) stitch possible! Without you, I would still be going insane trying to locate a chart. My plan, as I'm sure I've told y'all before, is to stitch Avon, get him framed and then go stalk...I mean, locate Paul Darrow and get him to sign it. After all...how many houses can there possibly be in Surrey? And he's still doing conventions too.
So, this is the image I shall be doing:
I haven't got all the threads I need for him yet though. I'm missing six, but I can start. So I shall! I just need to determine if I'm stitching on white or blue. I'm thinking blue.
hehe, he's been tormenting me! While I've been working on the fairies he's been there, in the back of my mind "Angel....come stitch me! come and play with me? Why stitch fairies when you can have me? I know you've always wanted me..."
looks great i must addmit i know nothing about him tho
how about some pretty hand dyed fabric?

Don't worry, I'm really surprised when people actually do know him. He was on the BBC from around 79-83 and he never really did anything else. He had a very bland two part role in doctor who and he occassionally walks in on a soap now. But he was a major part of my growing up. It was the very first live action thig I watched (that and muffin the mule).
Unfortunatlely I don't have any hand dyed fabric or the money to buy it. I chose a blue one with tea stains on it though. I quite like the effect of it.
Ok this is how it's looking after a couple of hours. It looks mostly confetti, but that's mostly just because the main colour of this bit is on my to buy list Chris has said he'll take me shopping for threads tomorrow though. It's the bottom left of the image.

It's about 13" high I think and a little less wide. And thanks to Chris buying me the extra threads, it's starting to look like something now. Not just random confetti.
