Re: Liz's stitching
Wow!! Everything looks great!! I haven't gotten the courage to use silks yet... what do you think of them? Are they easy to work with?

Re: Liz's stitching
I really enjoyed what I have done so far. The silk was fine to stitch with, the rayon a little more difficult but nothing like as bad as metallics! There is just the one 'colour' thread in both silk and rayon but as you can see it is beautifully dyed with lots of random colour. Really fun to use as it changes so frequently.

Re: Liz's stitching
Been to Wales for the weekend for my other half's dad's 80th birthday so decided that I didn't want to take Surfer's dream with me as it is a bit big.
I got the scissor poke out again and managed to finish it!
This is when the main stitching was complete before the scary task of assembling it!

Then the finished thing. I am not at all pleased with how I have finished it as I think it is not very well done. Putting things together is not my strong point and it is very small and fiddly!

Now all I have to do is buy a pair of scissors small enough to keep in it!!
