Hope you feel better soon, Barb and the doctor gets things sorted out for you. Stitching helps me so much as well, by keeping my mind busy and off my back problems.
Don't think I ever mentioned before but Mark has had M.E. for over 25 years and I wish sometimes that he'd give it a go. .... mind you, now that I think about what he's like trying to sew on a button, maybe not!
Many years ago cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this.
I hope you are feeling better today! I know stitching has helped me many times over the years. Its the one obsession I wouldn't get yelled at for getting involved in! lol
A couple years back I was in and out of the hospital for a bit. The nurse looked at me rather oddly when I requested the IV be placed in the top of my hand rather than in my arm. I told her I can't bend my arm to stitch with a needle in it.
hee hee Vega - I did similar when I was in hospital, I was in a knitting fetish at the time, prior to "finding" cross stitch - but I still knitted the IV line in a few times!!
Last November I had a knee replacement operation which didn't go as planned and I ended up with severe nerve damage and pain. My sister-in-law showed me a peice that she had just completed and it rekindled my interst in cross stitch after 20 years. Cross stitching helps take my mind of the pain as it allows me to focus on the sewing not the pain. Since November I have completed 4 large peices and have designed 2 of my own and am currently working on Woodland Enchantress. The trouble is now I can't stop buying new kits. Cross stitching is a therapy that works.
