You guys are more than welcome to come go through my stash, I don't mind and I would love to meet you all!

I didn't realize how much I actually have until I took these pictures. Sadly, I don't have a lot of fabric stash so I often have to buy fabric when I kit up a new design unless I want to stitch on plain white (I have 3 yards of 28ct that I had bought for the Sistine Chapel). A lot of it is magazines and I have them separated by on the list and not on the list, because I am still making that master list of designs that are in them. Of course I fell way behind due to depression and getting subscriptions to the UK mags a year ago. I have been adding one magazine a day to the list for the past few days. Once they are all done I will separate by magazine name and put them in dated order on the bookshelf with those magazine holders.

Ron promised me that I can start to make part of the den my stitching room and I am looking forward to that!

When I first came on this board, my stash all fit on that top shelf (first pic) and only had 2 bobbin boxes of DMC floss and about 30 backups. Once I started looking online for cross stitch stuff I found loads of designers I had never seen before and that was that. LOL

I love my collection though and am lucky that Ron (DH) understands that the collecting is a hobby in itself and I enjoy it just as much as actually stitching things.

HUGS

I'm going to have to take pictures of my stash when I finish winding all my new threads (hopefully at the weekend, I need a few more bobbins and another box before I can finish). I've currently got 5 full boxes of Anchor, plus another box on the way because I have more threads to go in it, and 3 boxes of DMC. That's before you get into the 3 expanding files and two box files of fabrics, and the big wooden cabinet of Assorted Other Stash. And the 6 lever arch files of charts. And the shelf full of books...

Love the pics!! Maybe I'll get motivated enough one day to drag my stuff out and add to the post. I have it all over the house. And thanks to wonderful ebay and their "mixed lots" I have more than I'll ever do in my lifetime!

Instead of doing the work I took home to do on the weekend, I was playing with my new camera and took photos of my stash.

Shelves beside TV: Threads and patterns. Shelf beside couch: Extra skeins of thread, yet to be used fabric and finishing stuff:

Feel free to come and 'shop' in my stash! I think I have far too much, and as for picturing it... it could take me weeks! I have a bedding box full of kits and fabric, and all my threads are stored elsewhere. I have pattern books, and magazines, and pages from all sorts of things! I got rid of a load to a stichy friend a couple of years back co I had so many, and I sold loads of kits on ebay cos again I thought I had too many! I still have far too much to ever get through in my lifetime, that I have even nominated an inheritor that is much younger than me, so I know it will all go to a good home!

And don't even get me started on my other stash's... knitting, crochet, rug making, patchwork, card making, jewellery making....think that's it!

Gorgeous gorgeous stash guys!

I'm a bit of a stash addict  and will buy anything that appeals to me (if I can afford it at the time.) I figure that if I like it, I'd better get it in case I can't find it again in the future.

Instead of pic spamming, I'll point you to a very out of date gallery of my stash. All of this was bought last year.

And a list of all the stash I own:

Love looking at everybodys stash - to think I threw away loads and loads of stash years ago thinking I wasn't going back to cross stitching. Makes me want to weep now!!!

I don't think ebay existed in those days so didn't think I could sell it - bin bagged the lot and chucked it in the wheelie bin !

I did the exact same thing years ago, Ceitidh. I could just kick myself now. Wish I had it all back.

Ack! What a horrible memory. So far I've been lugging mine all around with me from parent's house, to university, to the new job, to the next job, to the new house, etc.. I'm actually organized now and have a whole dresser full of all of my craft stuff. Except now that I've joined I think I'm going to need more room. I've got pics of some of my stash here. I'll get more pictures up soon!

I must say I love everyone's stash. Here is mine as well. I have all dmc threads. I prefer them the most.

Image

In the picture starting fom the left I have all my DMC threads in boxes, I have sepia tones in the bottom drawer of my three drawer thingy. I have these for future plans of all the stitch a stars from the cross stitcher magazines. In the top drawer I have all my satin threads that I have yet to put on bobbins, and some are in envelopes. Then at the back is my girlfriends WIP and mine on the right, and to the right of that is my lamp (which I thought I'd never use, but I came to like it), and my stand, and a re-useable cloth bag that i put threads in for the project I'm working on. Then my charts (I've downsized and only kept the ones I like from magazines), and my hoops, and lots of aida and some evenweave.
