My first ever project - Charlie's Ark Falling Star

Post by Emma1977 »

I'm very excited and proud as I've started my first ever x-stitch project. Its been done before and I thought what a lovely pic it was and then found the same kit on sale at my local Hobbycraft a few weeks later and snapped it up.

Here's my progress so far after 2 days. I'm lovng it and finding it very addictive :D Sorry for the large pic. I did re-size it but it won't seem to work

Oh, do enjoy it! I stitched this kit earlier in the year (I got it for Xmas from my Mam) and loved every second of it. :)

I know. I saw your great progress on it and I fell in love with the design then so I was made up when I saw it in Hobbycraft. I also bought the one of Charlie sat on the swing and like the look of the one with just him and Sally :D What was the second one your Mum got you for Xmas???

Have to admit that this is my second attempt at starting it. I originally started it over a week ago but made a huge mistake of somehow adding 2 extra rows (  don't know how) and then spent 2 hours unpicking about 70 stitches only for the aida to rip. Went and bought some more Aida and thread to match the pale blue to get home and find I had got 14 count and needed 16. Got there in the end and glad I persevered on it.

Congrats. You've made a great start, especially for a first project. Glad the initial snags didn't deter you.

The other one is the birth sampler. We've just started trying for baby #2 so I'm going to wait to stitch that one and put the DOB of Xan AND the new baby on it. :)
